Robert "Bob" Marchionda, Sr.

Robert “Bob”Marchionda, Sr. 78 of West Aliquippa fondly known as “Pinoke” passed away after a brief illness on December 2, 2022. He was born April 19, 1944, in West Aliquippa and was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Cellini) Marchionda. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis Marchionda, Joseph Marchionda, and Tom Boring. A sister, Anita Marchionda Casuccio and a nephew, Billy Marchionda. Bob was a member of Mary Queen of Saints Parish, St. Titus Church, Aliquippa. He retired from Precision Kidd Steel in 2009. He belonged to St. Anthony’s of West Aliquippa. Bob enjoyed attending car cruises with his '68’ Mercury Cougar and target practice at the gun range with his son, David and son-in-law, Steve. Bob loved mastering his craft in Poekoelan (karate) with a black belt and teaching those skills to his children and grandchildren. Bob took pride in all he did throughout his life whether it would be cutting the grass, lifting weights, breaking out dance moves to his famous “Kung Fu fighting” dance or waxing his car. Most importantly, his greatest treasure was spending time with his grandchildren Arabella, Ace and Enzo. Whether it was playing cards, drawing, playing outside in the yard, watching Rocky Balboa, or attending sporting events. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years Linda (Karas) Marchionda, Three children: Robert Jr. (and his children), Kelly Marchionda and husband Steven Huselton, David and wife Katie Marchionda. His living treasures and grandchildren: Arabella, Ace, Enzo and Rocco (arriving soon). Surviving are two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Louis "Babe" and Jeannie Marchionda, Christy and Debby Marchionda, Kathleen Marchionda and Nancy Marchionda. One sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Melvin Swogger, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Bob truly had a heart of gold who was respected by all. He had the kindest soul no matter how tough he was on the outside. Bob always shared the greatest stories and legacy will live on. He was truly the man, the myth and always will be, the legend. We Love you Daddy. Visitation will be Tuesday, 2-7 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, PA 15001 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am in St. Titus Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
