Stephen "Poo" Simonich

Stephen "Poo" Simonich, 76 of West Aliquippa passed away January 14, 2016He was born December 22, 1939 in Aliquippa and is the son of the late Paul and Ann Simonich. He was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters-in-law: Paul and Angeline Simonich, Nancy Simonich, a nephew, David Simonich and his mother-in-law and father-in-law: John and Elizabeth Sudar.Steve honorably served our country in the United States Army. When he returned home he worked at J&L Steelworks and retired from the company. Steve loved any type of sport. He especially enjoyed the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.He survived by his wife: Elizabeth "Cissy" Sudar Simonich, her children, Alexis Holiday (Brooks Goe) and John Henry (Shannon) Taylor. A brother, David Simonich and four brothers-in-law: Mike Sudar, Joseph (Linda) Sudar, John (Sonya) Sudar, George "Porgy" (Marie) Sudar and numeorus nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Sunday from 1-7 p.m. in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin Monday at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Titus Church with Father Paul Householder. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Steve to the Beaver County Humane Society.
