Melvin H. Cannon, Jr. 79 of Aliquippa is now at peace, he passed away December 10, 2021. He was born June 29, 1942, in Aliquippa and was the son of the late Melvin H. and Mildred Cannon, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife, Elizabeth Cannon and their daughter Deborah Carlgren. Melvin honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from J&L Steelworks (LTV) where he worked as a pipe fitter. Melvin enjoyed watching football, spending time outdoors and hunting. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. Surviving Melvin is his devoted daughter and son-in-law: Joy and David Chambers. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Jessica Chambers, Nicholas Chambers, Justin and Anna Carlgren, a great grandson, Logan David, who Melvin did not get to meet and a sister, Betsey Buccini, a sister-in-law, Sadie Betke and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the resurgence of CoVid-19 there will not be any public visitation. Melvin will be buried with his wife at Sylvania Hills Cemetery.
