Mary Elizabeth Kinest
December 30, 1958 - September 26, 2021
Mary Elizabeth Kinest, 62 passed away on September 26, 2021 after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James H. Kinest Jr. sons Jimmy III and Anthony, and siblings Linda (Martin) Pajonk, Margaret Klein, Vincent (Jacqueline) Berardini, Carol Murray, Anthony (Linda) Berardini, and Michael (Jane) Berardini. Mary will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, and their children that she loved dearly. Mary was rich with friends, especially her dear friend Putzie, the gangs from her several bowling leagues over the years, and the great members and friends with Corvettes of Pennsylvania. Mary Beth loved all of God’s creatures, both furry and especially with feathers. Just seeing a person walking their dog put a huge smile on her face. The family would like to thank Drs. Timothy Jackson, Karen Mayo, and Arthur Brandt for their many years of compassion as they navigated through her many conditions. There were so many doctors, nurses, and specialist at Heritage Valley Beaver, Allegheny General, Presbyterian, Jefferson and Montefiore hospitals that tended to her various complex needs. The family would like to thank these angels of mercy so very much for their dedication and comfort. The staff at the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute in Montefiore Hospital truly lived up to their motto of “Life Changing Medicine” following their successful kidney transplant on Friday, November 13, 2015. Finally, the family is eternally grateful to her unknown kidney donor and his family. The kindness and love that family had for others following their loss gave Mary five life changing years, free of dialysis. Donate Life. Visit CORE, Center for Organ Recovery Education. Per Mary’s wished there will not be a viewing. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am Thursday at Mary Queen of Saints Parish (St. Frances Cabrini Church). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, or to one of her favorite places on earth, The National Aviary in Pittsburgh.
