Elia (Incorvati) Trombetta
April 15, 1930 - December 9, 2015
For the love of an Italian mother is a blessing from God!Elia (Incorvati) Trombetta, 85 of Aliquippa, passed away December 9, 2015.Born in Bugnara, Italy on April 15, 1930She was the daughter of Pasquale and Bambina (D'Eramo) Incorvati. She married Francesco Trombetta in 1953 and immigrated to the US in 1954.She had a full, accomplished life, raising her two children and watching them graduate college. She had four grandchildren that she adored and who adored her even more. She was so proud to watch them earn multiple degrees and find their personal happiness. She loved watching her family follow in her traditions and embody her wisdom on love and living. She always said her proudest personal accomplishments were getting a job as a cook for 38 years at the Aliquippa School District, getting her driver?s license, and above all, becoming a U.S. Citizen. But it was Elia's love for her family and generosity to all who entered her home that was her true passion. No one could be in her home without being fed or leave without taking food with them. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed watching loved ones eat, and then eat some more. She was a huge fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Quips, proudly feeding many of Aliquippa?s most successful athletes and students for almost four decades. In addition to her parents, Elia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, sister Clementina, and older brother, Biagio. She is survived by her son, Nick, and daughter, Elaine (Don) Neill, four grandchildren, Ryan, Chelsea, and Corey Neill, and Krissa Trombetta, a sister, Onorina, a brother Domenico and many nieces and nephews in Italy. Special thanks for the love and support of family friends, especially nieces, Gemma and Carol Iannessa, and Cindy Iannessa Hall. Also special appreciation to her dedicated friends Sr. Bridget James O'Brien, CSJ, Lina Restaino, Amelia Fronzaglia, and Lena Cercone, who were so faithful and devoted. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the wonderful care provided by the staffs at Good Samaritan Hospice and Villa St. Joseph, especially her bella, Bessie Lloyd Howard.Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8 p.m. in the ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME INC. 2026 MCMINN STREET, Aliquippa, 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Titus Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Villa St. Joseph who provided excellent, compassionate care time and time again.
