Edward A. Vickodil

Edward A. Vickodil, Sr., 88, of Center Township, passed away peacefully on February 17th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in 1933 to Anthony and Josephine Vickodil and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy E. Smith Vickodil. He worked 43 years for the former LTV Steelworks, and after retiring, he worked for the Center Township Road Department. In his free time, Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed camping and helped create a lifetime of memories for his children and grandchildren. His children survive him; Christine Wimer, Frank (Linda) Vickodil, Edward (Donna) Vickodil, Jr., Jeffery (Carol) Vickodil Sr., and Nancy (Ken) Bryant. Six grandchildren, Steven and Matthew Shrock, Amanda (Gary) Grater, Michael (Maura) Vickodil, Jeffrey Vickodil, Jr., Karli Bryant, and three great-grandchildren Aubrey Grater, Avery Grater, and Elijah Vickodil. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Heritage Valley Beaver and Good Samaritan Hospice for their excellent care. At Ed’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
