Dominic M. Teny, 92, formerly of Freedom, passed away peacefully September 1, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.He was born November 14, 1923 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Romolo and Alexandria (Pascarella) Teny. Dominic was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife Teresa (Totera) Teny, their son Dennis Mark Teny, granddaughter : Alexa Gradisek, five brothers George, Frank, and Romeo Teny. Joseph Benedetta, and Anthony Benedict. Three sisters: Dorothy Teny Morroco Hayes, Virginia Simone and Jennie HamiltonDominic was a former member of St. Felix Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Beaver County Jail where he served as the Warden for many years. Dominic was a kind and selfless man. Who loved his family fiercely and passionately and was completely devoted to them.Dominic is survived by his devoted daughter: Patti Gradisek, Center Twp. Three beloved grandchildren:Anthony Teny, Alayna and Adrianna Gradisek, who their Pap Pap adored. A daughter-in-law: Jackie Teny Miller, a son-in-law: Robert Gradisek, one brother, Albert (Nomie) Teny, two sisters: Stella (Raymond) Vogel and Philomenia (Foo) Whitehair and numerous nieces and nephewsVisitation will be Monday from 2-6 p.m. in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa 724-375-0496. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Center Twp. (Everyone is asked to meet in church). Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Freedom. The Beaver County special unit will provide military honors at the cemetery.
