Antoinette M. Crisanti

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Antoinette M. Crisanti on November 16, 2021. She passed away peacefully at the Edison Manor Nursing & Rehab Center and no longer has to suffer or struggle with life’s challenges. Born on January 22, 1924 in West Aliquippa, she was the last living child of Rocco and Natalia (DeFelice) Shaffalo. Preceding her in death were her two brothers:Julius and William and her five sisters: Laura, Dorothy, Isabelle, Lucille and Assunta. She married her loving husband, Bartolomeo Romeo Crisanti in Italy in 1947 and enjoyed 27 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1974. During her time on earth, she was an incredible life-long mentor, consultant and companion to many. She was truly cherished by those who knew her well and she will be greatly missed. She read and consulted the Bible daily and dedicated her life to the Lord. And in that regard, she supported numerous charitable causes and was generous to a fault. In her younger years she participated in and enjoyed a variety of Amateur Sports. During World War II, she worked in the Propeller Division of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation providing service and support to the Armed Forces of the United States. She was a gifted and talented artist who created numerous masterful paintings and statuary. She also was an avid and competitive Scrabble Player. And an excellent cook who shared the food she prepared with many others. Practical, down to earth and highly independent, she managed her household affairs, drove her car and painted well into her nineties. Without question, she was a very resilient individual who courageously faced a variety of medical challenges. She was a Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is survived by her son Bartholomew R. (Lisa) Crisanti, Grand Daughter Laura Simmonds (Matthew) and her three Great-Grand Children Elaine, Clara and Dean and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 am until time of blessing service at 12 noon in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. at 2026 McMinn Street Aliquippa, PA 15001 724-375-0496. Antoinette will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Heaven awaits Antoinette where she will continue to provide significant value-added contributions to all.
