Anthony J. Loschiavo, 92 of Aliquippa passed away unexpectedly October 28, 2016.He was born July 13, 1924 in Ambridge and was the son of the late Carmen and Maria (Arturo) Loschiavo. Tony was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife Lena (Silvestri) Loschiavo, three brothers: George, Vincent and Peter J. Loschiavo and a sister, Josephine Swiaka.He was a member of Saint Titus Roman Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society where he was recently honored as Man of the Year. Tony was also a member of The Knights of Columbus Council 2161. He was a graduate of Clarion State University and University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Master?s Degree. He was an elementary teacher and retired as a school principal. Tony was a life member of the Aliquippa Education Association, The PA State and National Education Association. He was also a member of Beaver County Elementary Principal Association. Tony was a veteran of the US Air Force, 366 Fighter Group, in the European Theater during WWII. He was also the last member of R.O.M.E.O club, (Retired Old Men Eating Out).Tony is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Dr. Charles Loschiavo and Evlyn Akury Loschiavo.Four grandchildren: Ashley L. Godoy, Chaz Loschiavo, Alexis L. Wagner and Dr. Christopher Loschiavo. He was also blessed with two great grandchildren: Adrian and Julian Godoy and was looking forward to the birth of another great grandchild. Tony is also survived by a sister Rose Platz, a brother-in-law: Michael Mayconich, numerous nieces and nephews. Tony will be sadly missed by his niece Marlene Koledin and a dear friend, Sandy Coates, who lovingly took care of him.Visitation will be Tuesday from3-7 p.m. in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin Wednesday at 9:00 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 am in St. Titus Church. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Beaver County Special Unit will provide military honors at the cemetery.
