Stanley Ochman

Stanley Ochman, 81 of Hopewell Township passed away March 31, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Nola Ochman. Stanley is survived by his family that meant the world to him. His loving wife of 56 years, Donna Ochman. A daughter and son-in-law: Deborah (Chris) Ross who Stanley affectionately called “Debby Webby”. He is also survived by a son John Ochman. Both Deborah and John affectionately referred to him as “My Dad.” Stanley was blessed to be called Grandpa/Grampie by his treasured grandchildren who he also had nicknamed: Owen Ross “My Little Buddy” (Abbey Dodd), Kara Bell “Kara Beara” (Nate Bell), and Krista Ross “Kristaaaa” (Drew Benninghoff). “Staush” is also survived by a brother‑in‑law and sister‑in‑law, Ken and Sandy Kisucky; nephew KJ Kisucky and family; nephew Joe Kisucky and family; and niece Katie Rosatelli and family. Stanley graduated from Ambridge High School in 1962 and proudly served as a Private in the U.S. Army. Stanley later worked in the research department at St. Joe Lead. In retirement, Stanley put in “overtime” entering contests, and winning countless prizes that brought great pride and joy—especially when gifting them to family. Stanley loved doing crossword puzzles and was surprisingly successful, despite many creative misspellings. Known for being exceptionally organized, Stanley had a meticulous way of doing things. A true lover of the outdoors, Stanley enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and fly tying. Many hours were spent tending to gardens and flowerbeds. Holidays were especially dear, with Christmas holding a special place in Stanley’s heart. Every occasion called for a full head‑to‑toe outfit, and great pride was taken in decorating the Christmas tree and wrapping and giving gifts each year. A Christmas Story was a favorite movie, memorized from beginning to end. Mannheim Steamroller perfectly blended Stanley’s passion for Christmas and love of music. During younger adult years, Stanley trained English setters and coached softball and baseball. Even after long workdays, no game or sporting event for children or grandchildren was ever missed and he looked forward to every single one. Stanley’s happiness and personality were infectious. His quick‑witted jokes could fill any room with laughter. He had a great passion for learning and added value to every conversation. His knowledge spanned many subjects, including his hobbies, science, horticulture, sports, and anything his loved ones cared about. Kindness and generosity were defining traits, with joy found in the simplest moments—watching birds at the birdhouse, gazing at the stars, or observing the windmill spinning in the breeze. Above all else, family was Stanley’s greatest love. Time spent together was treasured, and surprise visits from grandchildren and great nieces and nephews just made his day. There was always an abundance of hugs and kisses, and Stanley never failed to say “I love you the world” and remind family they were the “bestest.” He will be truly missed by each of us who loved him. All services were private.
