Grazia (Scundi) Fronzaglia

Grazia (Scundi) Fronzaglia, 85 of Aliquippa peacefully went to Heaven surrounded by her loving family on November 27, 2021, after a brief illness. Grazia was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband Salvatore Fronzaglia who preceded her in death. She was born November 28, 1935 in Bianco, Calabria Italy and was the daughter of the late Franco and Maria Scundi. In addition to her parents and husband, Grazia was preceded in death by her siblings: Leonard, Thomas and John Scundi. Two Brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Albert (Amelia) Fronzaglia, Patsy (Antoinette) Fronzaglia. Grazia was a member of Mary Queen of Saints Parish (St. Titus Church), Aliquippa. She is survived by her loving daughters and son-in-law: Phyllys (Paul) Flati and Frances Fronzaglia. Beloved Nonna to her cherished grandsons: Dante and Nico Flati. Grazia is also survived by her siblings: Caterina (Frank) Muscatello, Teresa “Tita” (Tony) Leggio, Antoinette “Tota” (Frank) Staltaro, Rocco (Pina) Scundi, sister-in-law: Josephine Scundi and numerous nieces and nephews. Grazia loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed being outside especially tending to her garden, catching sun rays and feeding the birds. She loved talking on the phone to her siblings daily for hours at a time. She enjoyed taking vacations with her family. Family was the center of her being, most importantly were her grandsons and spending time with them. Grazia always attended their sporting events starting when the boys were small children up until just recently. She made her family feel that they were most important and selflessly put their needs above her own. Though she did not speak much English, it never hindered her life or her capability of communicating with others and building long lasting relationships. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-7 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, PA 15001. Departing prayers will begin on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Titus Church. Entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the critical care staff at Heritage Valley Sewickley for the compassionate care that was extended to their mother and the entire family. You truly are heroes! A heartfelt thank you to Vera Cindric for the wonderful care that you gave our mother. You brightened Grazia’s days without even knowing it. Vera, you fondly made sure Grazia looked her best, took the time to paint her nails, do her hair and always went the extra mile without ever complaining, and you learned a little Italian along the way. Lastly, our sincere appreciation to the Muscatello family, who have always been so gracious and loving towards our mother even during her last days. We would never have made it through it without you. Although you were her nieces and nephews, she viewed each of you as her extended children who brought so much happiness to her life. Grazia will always be remembered and honored as a great Mother, Nonna, Sister and Aunt and will be truly missed by her family.
