Felicetta "Ceccarelli" Fratangeli

Felicetta (Ceccarelli) Fratangeli, 91 of Aliquippa passed away with her family by her side on May 26, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born September 26, 1931, in Frosinone, Italy and is the daughter of Silverio and Angela (Magliochetti) Ceccarelli. Felicetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years Domenico Fratangeli, two brothers and two sisters and their spouses: Antonio (Geltrude) Ascani, Nicola (Teresa) Ceccarelli, Vincenza (Sisto) Ferrera and Maria (Fernando) Arduini. A son-in-law, Robert Rager, seven brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Umberto and Rina Fratangeli, Augusto Fratangeli, Mario and Giulia Fratangeli, Remo Fratangeli, Franco Fratangeli, John and Vickie Fratangeli, and Saverio Antonucci. In 1966, Felicetta made the tough decision to leave her home country of Italy and immigrated to Aliquippa with her husband and daughters. She trusted that hard work and perseverance would provide a better life for her and her family. She quickly began working at Herman's Bakery and Woodlawn Laundromat and retired from Aliquippa Elementary School after 20+ years as a Custodian. She poured her love into her food and made magic in the kitchen. She was always the last one to sit down at every meal. If you have attended a wedding in the area, odds are you have eaten her cookies, they were the delicious stuffed pizzelles and ladylocks. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Mary Queen of Saints Parish, St. Titus Church, Aliquippa. Felicetta was a devoted and loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who survived her: Two daughters: Vincenzina "Vinnie" (Alessandro) Sardilli, and Assunta "Sue" Rager. Four grandchildren: Sonia Joseph (Paul Mann), Tonia Anderson, Mandy (Geoff) Crawford and Ashley (Michael) Trautman. Nine great-grandchildren: Christopher Joseph, Alessandra Mann, Dominik Anderson, Cailin, Cora, Cayleigh, Chloe Crawford, Celia and Oren Trautman. Two brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law: Tony (Anna) Fratangeli, Phillip (Sue) Fratangeli, Filomena Antonucci, Margherita Fratangeli, Maria Fratangeli, and Antoinette Fratangeli. Felicetta is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and Commare Cristina Fronzaglia Murray, Sandra Fronzaglia, and Compare Tony DiGiandomenico. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, PA 15001. Departing prayers will be held Thursday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Titus Church. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
