Elisa (Cerone) C. DiNardo

Elisa (Cercone) C. DiNardo, 90, of Aliquippa passed away on March 5, 2023 after an extended illness with her family by her side. Born in Pacentro, Italy April 29, 1932, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Adelina (LaRocca) Cercone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Antonio DiNardo. A cherished son, Vincent C. DiNardo, an infant daughter who died at birth, and a sister Maria Cercone who was a young child when she died. Elisa was a devoted member of Mary Queen of Saints Parish, St. Titus Church and St. Anthony Congregation, West Aliquippa. Elisa organized many bus trips to casino’s and enjoyed partaking day trips to honor the Blessed Mother and other saints. Many years ago, Elisa worked at Mary’s Café, in West Aliquippa, while her sons were in school. Elisa was known for having a green thumb and was an avid gardener. She had a great appreciation for music and loved to sing Italian songs with her family and friends. Elisa was a consummate hostess, you were always welcome with something to eat and drink. Her greatest treasure was spending time with her loving family and of course providing them with a delicious meal to enjoy. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who gave everyone in her family beautiful memories to cherish. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Marisa DiNardo. Her grandchildren, Dr. Anthony and Tawana DiNardo, and Elisa and Joshua Leheny. Her great-grandchildren, Tessa, Ty, Carissa, and Saddie. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Violetta C. DiNardo and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Hunter Personal Care Home especially to Linda, her family and staff for the exceptional care and compassion they extended to Elisa during her time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony Congregation in West Aliquippa in memory of Elisa. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, from 2-6 pm in ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME INC. 2026 McMinn Street Aliquippa PA 15001 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will take place in the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday in St. Titus church at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Beaver Cemetery.
