In a bittersweet moment another Angel has found their wings and has set off on flight safe in the arms of God and to those gone before them waiting and anticipating their arrival as they make their way into heaven. Carol (DiBenedetto) Mastrofrancesco, 72 of Center Twp. passed away, October 1, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer.She was born October 18, 1942, in Rochester and was the daughter of the late Carl and Ann (Ceccarelli) DiBenedetto. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Luigi and Angelina Mastrofranceso, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Mario and Victoria Mastrofrancesco, Renato and Lydia Mastrofrancesco.Carol was member of St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Care and Concern Ministry. She was also a volunteer at Heritage Valley Beaver in the surgical waiting room. Carol was a very considerate person who enjoyed helping others. She retired from Gladieux/Marriott Corporation where she was a manager in the Airport restaurants before the new airport was built in 1992. During her time working she enjoyed meeting new people and developed many friendships. She continued that passion by assisting her husband and daughter with the family business.For 52 years Carol was the wife of Tony Mastrofranceco, who survives her along with her children and their spouses: Anthony and Angela Mastrofrancsco, Lesa Mastrofrancesco and Darin Smoot. Her three precious grandsons who she treasured more than anything. Matthew, Jacob and Lucas who truly were the center of her world. She delighted attending their activities, taking them to dinner or just hanging out with them. She is also survived by her two devoted brothers: Ned (Joyce) DiBenedetto and Carl (Theresa) DiBenedetto. Two special aunts: Lena VanDyke and Helen Gasbarri. A lifelong loving friend, Nancy Marchionda, who was like a sister to her. Carol is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her god children, who were so special to her.Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. in the ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME INC. 2026 MCMINN Street, Aliquippa (724) 375-0496. Everyone is asked to meet at St. Frances Cabrini Church at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 where a Mass of Christian will be celebrated with her Pastor Father Martin Bartel, O.S.B. Entombment will follow at Mt.
