Arthur Piroli Sr.

Arthur Piroli, Sr., a lifelong resident of Aliquippa went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2018. He was born July 21, 1936 in Aliquippa and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Piroli. In addition to his parents Art was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Piroli, two brothers: Donald and John, two sisters: Josephine and Rose. Art was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Art served faithfully as an usher at Saturday Mass. He was very active within the community. He formerly served, for 46 years, as a member of the Aliquippa School Board. Art also was a former board member of Beaver County Career and Technology Center for over 30 years and currently was serving on Linmar Homes Inc. Board of Directors. Art honorably served our country in the U.S. NAVY. He was retired from J&L Steelworks with 40 years of service working in the Tin Mill as a Maintenance Clerk. Art was an avid sports fan especially Aliquippa Quips football and basketball. Surviving Art is loving wife, Ann (Cipolla) Piroli, who he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage with in June. Three devoted sons and two daughters-in-law: Arthur and Marian Piroli, Jr. Ronald Piroli, Coraopolis, and Joseph and Dawn Piroli, New Castle. Four grandchildren: Candice (Aaron) Cortes, Anthony (Justine) Piroli, Ashley Piroli (Jordan Potter), Joseph Piroli (Katie Willkom). Art was also blessed with two great grandsons: Luca and Gino. He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law: Marlene and Bob Sarver, a special niece Leah Piroli and several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc, 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin Saturday at 9:45 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:15 am in St. Titus Church with Father Tom Wilson. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 862 will provide military honors at the cemetery. The Piroli family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Critical Care Unit at Heritage Valley Sewickley and the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for the kindness that was extended to their family and the care that was given to Art.
